Meet Your Team
Scott R. Schatzle, CFP®
Financial Planner & Founder
As the founder of Mutual Trust Advisory Group, I am proud to have decades of experience in the financial services industry. After I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Florida International University, I pursued the coveted CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation and honored to serve our clients with this professional credential. I am a member of the Financial Planning Association, contributing author, and distinguished past Chairman and President.
I also have served as an instructor for the CFP® Educational Certification Program offered through Boston University and enjoy teaching the future generation of financial advisors. When I am not working, I love running, weight training, fishing, and spending time with my family. I am married to Kelly, and blessed with three children, Riley, Caitlin, and Cody.
Ryan Rocuant, CFP®, CDFA®
Private Wealth Advisor
As a lifelong resident of Southwest Florida, I have a strong commitment to serving my local community. I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from Florida Gulf Coast University’s Lutgert College of Business. During my time at FGCU, I balanced my academic pursuits with athletics as a member of the FGCU Division 1 men’s basketball team.
In February 2021, I joined Mutual Trust Advisory Group as an Associate Advisor. In this role, I engaged in all aspects of the comprehensive financial planning process, enabling me to provide holistic and tailored financial advice to our clients. Prior to this, I gained valuable experience as a customer support representative at State Farm Insurance, where I honed my skills in delivering exceptional customer care.
Since joining Mutual Trust Advisory Group, I have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. This certification demonstrates my competence in holistic financial planning and my dedication to acting in my clients’ best interests. The CFP® certification is widely regarded as the gold standard in the financial planning industry. I then obtain the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) designation. This designation was inspired by my father, Paul Rocuant, Esq., a family law attorney in Southwest Florida since 1993. The CDFA® certification allows me to provide comprehensive support to individuals and their attorneys navigating the complexities of divorce.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, weightlifting, basketball, and pickleball. I have a passion for travel and have been fortunate to explore some unique places such as Hawaii, Ireland and Chile.
Jennifer Howes
Office Manager
I grew up in Northwest Florida and earned my Finance Degree from Florida State University and my master’s degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida. After graduating and living in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 10 years, my husband and I decided to move back to the “Sunshine State” to be closer to the beaches. We have lived in Naples for the past 15 years and have 2 children.
My professional experience includes working in the banking industry for 15 years in the Accounting and Compensation Divisions, serving as the Chapter Executive for the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida, and happily serving clients at Mutual Trust Wealth Managment since 2018. When I’m not busy with my kid’s activities, I enjoy Pilates classes, home decorating projects, book club discussions, and various volunteer opportunities.
Darren Moss
Operations Associate
I am a seasoned professional with a robust background in finance and operations. Raised in the suburbs of New York City, I earned a degree in Economics from Binghamton University, part of the State University of New York system. My career spans 16 years on Wall Street, predominantly within two long-short equity hedge funds, where I specialized in trading, operations, marketing, and client relationship management.
In 2016, I transitioned from Wall Street to dedicate time to my family as a stay-at-home dad, an experience that profoundly influenced my personal and professional outlook. My passion for finance eventually led me back to the industry, where I now assist financial advisors in expanding their practices. I thrive on problem-solving and have a strong commitment to enhancing business efficiency to improve client service.
Beyond my professional life, I am an avid skier and enjoy the outdoors, particularly in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. I actively participate in community activities, volunteering on local government committees and with non-profits focused on enhancing outdoor spaces and recreational opportunities. I also enjoy playing lacrosse and soccer with my two children.
