Meet Your Team

Scott R. Schatzle, CFP®
Founder & Financial Planner
I am the proud Founder of Mutual Trust Advisory Group, a fee-only, fiduciary wealth management firm based in Estero, Florida. Since founding the firm in 2013, we have been committed to delivering clarity-based, extraordinary service to the families we serve across Southwest Florida, including Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Estero.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Management from Florida International University, I completed the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and have been honored to serve our clients with this trusted credential. I am a contributing author and a distinguished past Chairman and President of the Financial Planning Association.
My dedication to advancing the profession extends to teaching. I have served as an instructor for Boston University’s CFP® Educational Program, helping to train the next generation of financial professionals.
At Mutual Trust Advisory Group, our philosophy is grounded in the belief that financial planning should begin with understanding your goals, values, and dreams. We prize transparency, independence, and stewardship, and we never sell products. Our only compensation comes from serving your best interests.
Outside of the office, I enjoy running, weight training, fishing, and most importantly spending quality time with my wife, Kelly, and our three children Riley, Caitlin, and Cody.
Ryan Rocuant, CFP®, CDFA®
Private Wealth Advisor
As a lifelong resident of Southwest Florida, I have a strong commitment to serving my local community. I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from Florida Gulf Coast University’s Lutgert College of Business. During my time at FGCU, I balanced my academic pursuits with athletics as a member of the FGCU Division 1 men’s basketball team.
I joined Mutual Trust Advisory Group in 2021, gaining experience in all aspects of the comprehensive financial planning process and developing a client-first approach. Prior to that, I worked as a customer support representative at State Farm, where I honed my skills in delivering exceptional customer care.
Since entering the profession, I have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, widely regarded as the gold standard in the financial planning industry. I also obtained the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) designation, inspired by my father, Paul Rocuant, Esq., a family law attorney in Southwest Florida since 1993. The CDFA® designation allows me to provide comprehensive support to individuals and their attorneys navigating the complexities of divorce. I am also proud to serve on the board of the Association of Family Law Professionals, where I contribute my expertise to support professionals working in family law and related fields.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, Haylea, along with family and friends, weightlifting, boating, golfing, and playing pickleball. I have a passion for travel and have been fortunate to explore unique destinations such as Ireland, Chile, Italy, Greece, and Amsterdam.
Jennifer Howes
Office Manager
I grew up in Northwest Florida and earned my Finance Degree from Florida State University and my master’s degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida. After graduating and living in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 10 years, my husband and I decided to move back to the “Sunshine State” to be closer to the beaches. We have lived in Naples for the past 15 years and have 2 children.
My professional experience includes working in the banking industry for 15 years in the Accounting and Compensation Divisions, serving as the Chapter Executive for the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida, and happily serving clients at Mutual Trust Wealth Managment since 2018. When I’m not busy with my kid’s activities, I enjoy Pilates classes, home decorating projects, book club discussions, and various volunteer opportunities.
Sara Fletcher
Client Service Associate
Having spent most of my life in the beautiful state of Florida, I recently embraced a new chapter by relocating to the West Coast with my husband. This move opened the door to an exciting opportunity with Mutual Trust Advisory Group, where I draw on my extensive background in customer service, relationship-building, and years of experience in both the medical and financial industries.
With a strong foundation in medical billing and finance, I'm known for my organizational skills and my philosophy of working smarter, not harder. At the core of my professional approach is a commitment to building genuine, lasting relationships, because I believe trust and connection are the driving forces behind meaningful results.
Outside the office, I'm passionate about staying active, whether that's running and participating in local races or enjoying time at home with my husband, cooking a great meal together, or unwinding with a good movie.

Darren Moss
Operations Associate, Custodial Paperwork & Client Service Support
I am a seasoned professional with a robust background in finance and operations. Raised in the suburbs of New York City, I earned a degree in Economics from Binghamton University, part of the State University of New York system. My career spans 16 years on Wall Street, predominantly within two long-short equity hedge funds, where I specialized in trading, operations, marketing, and client relationship management.
In 2016, I transitioned from Wall Street to dedicate time to my family as a stay-at-home dad, an experience that profoundly influenced my personal and professional outlook. My passion for finance eventually led me back to the industry, where I now assist financial advisors in expanding their practices. I thrive on problem-solving and have a strong commitment to enhancing business efficiency to improve client service.
Beyond my professional life, I am an avid skier and enjoy the outdoors, particularly in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. I actively participate in community activities, volunteering on local government committees and with non-profits focused on enhancing outdoor spaces and recreational opportunities. I also enjoy playing lacrosse and soccer with my two children.
